FG Considers New Approach To Create one Million fresh jobs Annually

The Federal Government will quickly unveil a new plan that will assist you to create about one million fresh jobs annually.
The Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation, Mr. Obi Adim, who disclosed this during a chat with journalists in Abuja on Friday, said the initiative would address the country's high unemployment rate in a pragmatic way.  Nigeria's unemployment rate, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, currently stands at 23.9 per cent.

Adim, who addressed journalists in company with the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation, Josephine Washima, said already the initiative, Integrated Youth Development Programme, had received a lot of buy-in from stakeholders, adding the entire details of the programme would be released before the conclusion of next month.

He said, “We are suffering from a programme called the Integrated Youth Development Initiative, which is really a web-based platform, where youth development would be monitored and processed. “We are looking at creating about one million jobs a year. We've various sectors we are looking at such as for instance Information and Communication Technology, entrepreneurship, and skills acquisition.”

Asked how a programme was different from other job creation initiatives such as the Youth Enteprise with Innovation Programme, Washima said, “The YouWin programme is a small business competition, which will be online-based and this is completely different from the Integrated Youth Empowerment Initiative. Our initiative is not a competition but it will empower the youth by the end of your day if properly implemented.”

She said for real transformation to take place, the youth needed be designed with the necessary skills, adding that “statistics given to us by the National Bureau of Statistics and the National Population Commission say the youth is all about 50 million in number and this can be a number we will not ignore.”

Ms Mazibuko was born in 1894, according to her identity papers, and has outlived five of her seven children.

"God gave my life in abundance, plus a bonus. I am very old now," she told South Africa's Sowetan newspaper.

According to Guinness World Records, the oldest living person is Misao Okawa, from Japan, who is 115.

Ms Mazibuko shares her house in Klerksdorp, which is about 160km (100 miles) south-west of Johannesburg, with her 77-year-old son, Tseko Mazibuko, who is also a pensioner.

"I'm doing alright," she said.

Her ID book, issued in 1986, shows her date of birth as 11 May 1894, the Sowetan reports.

The oldest person recorded in history was Jeanne Calment from France who died 4 August 1997 aged 122.

Drake & Chris Brown cleared in ₦240 Million Club Fight Case

CHRIS Brown and Drake have escaped forking out a fortune in damages following their infamous nightclub brawl last summer.

A New York judge ruled that the warring pop stars don’t owe a penny to Entertainment Enterprises, the owner of the Greenhouse venue in New York, and threw the case out.
The company sued the pair for £10million [243 million naira] following their bust-up at the nearby W.i.P. hotspot, claiming the Greenhouse’s reputation suffered a massive blow as a result of the bottle-throwing melee.
Entertainment Enterprises said the widely-publicised fight had put revellers off going to the Greenhouse club, costing them a lot of money.

Drake responded to the lawsuit, insisting he had nothing to do with the coverage the riot provoked.
The judge agreed with the rapper, saying the pop stars had no duty to the club to behave – especially since it didn’t even take place on the Greenhouse premises.
He added that nightclub brawls are commonplace and that Entertainment Enterprises can’t just launch legal action every time a fight breaks out.
Their violent feud was allegedly sparked after Drake sent Brown a note saying, “I am f****** the love of your life” – in reference to his rival’s ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
But the rapper claimed trouble was flared by one of Brown’s entourage, who had been making offensive comments to his pals.
Brown’s lawyer hit back, saying: “I have turned over evidence that it was Drake who instigated this. The evidence makes it clear that Chris is the victim.
“I believe the police are building a case against Drake and his thugs. Clearly, Drake was the instigator and there is evidence he threw glassware.”
Following the fracas, Brown tweeted a picture of himself sporting a nasty cut on his chin.

Soundcity VJ Moet Abebe In s-èx Tape Scandal (Photo)

The last time it was Empress Njamah, now it’s Moet Abebe…
Reports of a leaked s-èx tape involving a popular female VJ and an unidentified man have recently trolled the internet.
The story which was over the weekend reported by celebrity journalist Abiola Aloba of Maestro Media who claimed to have watched the s-èx tape, clearly gave hints on the female participant, who according to him, is a ‘popular hostess on a cable network, hosting a musical show who always holds her audience spellbound by her delivery’.

He took the pain of describing her physical features; ‘…Not too tall, very shapely with big eye balls, she looks like an angel’, her name, ‘…she sounds like ‘champagne’, we are not talking ‘Brut or Rose’ and even her family ties, ‘…and seems connected to the family of a former ruler, at least by her second name’.
Well, there are reasons to believe that Moet is the lady in question!
Popular Soundcity VJ Laura Monyeazo Abebe better known as Moet Abebe is the daughter of John Abebe, the brother of the late first lady, Stella Obasanjo.
Reports claim that the 23yearold VJ is in a relationship with an MTV Base staff and is quite fond of him (she, from time to time puts up his photos on her instagram page, referring to him as her ‘boo’). She has however been linked with a number of entertainers in the past, including Don Jazzy, Dr SID, May D, rappers Terry tha Rapman, M.I, Loose Kaynon, Beazy and producer Kid Konnect.
A source close to the VJ confirms she’s actually the person in the video but explains that it’s quite old. ‘It’s her but it’s an old video, it was shot years back. I wonder why they are bringing it up again’
We will bring you more details as it unfolds…

Shameless: Anambra Liason Office at Abuja Exploit Money From People

Is about Anambra state liasson office at Abuja.

When state indigenes go there for indigene certificate they are made to pass through a lot starting from the guard at the gate to officers at the office.
The indigene certificate is now 1000 while other states are still 500 but that is not even the issue, the guard will want money and won’t hestitate to ask and as you go in the female officers will tell you,you will have to see them! For what?

Is the right of the indigenes. And secondly, people who they even want them to pay are job seekers and still searching and trusting God for jobs.
so why exploit them?

They the officers are already employed and have a means of survival and I expect them to leave people alone and stop that shameful act.
I am an indigene and I went though that.I couldn’t even pay what the ask me to give so I had to trick them into believing I will come back and when they gave me my certificate,I flee!

What a shame? I am really ashame of Anambra state.

Hot Or Trashy ??

Why Olu Maintain is not on my album –LKT

LKT became famous in 2007 when he featured on Olu Maintain’s monster hit, Yahoozee. Since then, much has been expected of him. In this interview by OSEYIZA OOGBODO, he reveals that one of the expectations, his debut album, is finally dropping this month. He also spoke about his testy relationship with Olu Maintain.
How did you get the inspiration for your smash hit, Alaye?
Alaye came about when I and my brother, Puffy Tee, were in the studio working with Young D. And after recording about four songs with Young D, I asked him to give me a standard beat and he did and I had to do something good with it and what I did was Alaye and everybody loved it.
What is Alaye all about?
Alaye is like your personal person, someone you look up to, like your boss, you know. And I’m very happy with it because it’s a big song just like my Follow Follow featuring P-Square so it means I’m moving forward in my career.

What has it done for you?
It has done a lot for me. It’s the reason I’m being hosted here at Industry Nite (last Wednesday). They’ve wanted to host me since last year but I told them that I expect Industry Nite to bring together people like Kennis Muisc, those that own record labels, marketers and industry people in general so we can sit down and interact on how we can move our industry forward, since it’s Industry Nite.
I told them it’s not about performances, we’ll do the performances, but let us talk to the marketers, the producers like Don Jazzy and Puffy Tee, Kennis Music, everybody should sit down at a round table and discuss on how we can make money.
Apart from we doing shows, how do we make money? So they told me I shouldn’t worry, that they are working on it, that everything will be fine, that definitely they want to do that, but that when they want to do a big event, that’s when they will call everybody.
Since you blew with Yahoozee some years ago, everyone has been expecting your album. When is it coming?
I have a lot of songs I’ve recorded so I have more than even an album with me right now. The point is that I’m not listening to just an album, I’m listening to like 35 songs when I’m dropping just a 15-track album featuring the likes of 9ice, Jaywon, Vector, Olamide, PSquare and so many others.
When does it drop?
It comes out this month, July, because I’m going on an European tour, so I have to drop it for my fans before I travel out. It’s called The Journey and it’s all about my journey so far from the past to the present and then the future.
Having been in the industry for several years, who can you say has been of the most help to you?
Everybody. Everybody that’s been close to me and that I’ve been close to. Because there’s something about me, the way I work, I move close to a lot of people to ask them how did you do this or that? It’s not easy for the likes of P-Square, Timaya, 2face, 9ice to still be there after so many years, and they are still there and doing good, so I work with and I move close to everybody that has been in that top, I speak with them, relax with them, ask them what do you think I should do, what is the next move, what is the way forward, what do you think of my music, what do you think of my style?
And the style is so good. You can see everybody’s doing it. The likes of BrymO, Wi z k i d , they are t apping one or t w o t h i n g s f r o m fuji music. So eve r y – body’s d o – ing it and it makes m e happy.
Is it true you had to change to fuji style to sell yourself ?
No. I started with fuji music, but 15, 20 years ago, people used to look at fuji as very crass, so I had to blend hip-hop and R&B into it. And when I was to be on a gospel song that was supposed to have Dekunle Fuji and he wasn’t around, I did my fuji hip-hop thing in it. The second time I did it was in Yahoozee and it brought me to limelight with Puffy Tee and Olu Maintain.
Many years after Yahoozee and the widely known problems you had with Olu Maintain, what is your relationship with him now?
Yeah, we are still cool. The last time we were together was at Encomium Black and White Ball. He hugged me, h e ’ s doing g o o d , he and P u f f y Tee too are still have a good relationship. A lot of people are challenging why I don’t have him on my album, and I tell them that when the time comes, we’ll certainly work together again.
What are your plans?
I see myself having my own record label and doing talent hunts all over Nigeria and Africa because upcoming artists call me every day in need of help and I really want to help them.
How would you advice an upcoming artist so he can become successful like you?
You can’t be LKT oh, you have to be yourself. The most important thing is you have to be yourself and be original in whatever you are doing and be good in what you’re doing and be very prayerful.

Touch And Follow: Female Student Ra-péd By Heavy Guys After Touching Her With Ring

There is a boy who was not my boy friend. He was a student in that school about two years ago. His name is Biola. He had wanted to date me several times which I politely turned down. Just last Wednesday, when I closed from school, Biola came to me in company of two unidentified boys and said his mum wanted to see me. I asked him what led to the invitation by his mum.

"I then told him I would not go. Then, one of the two other guys who had a ring on his hand hit me on the chest and I was unconscious. They took me to the residence of one of the boys and rap-éd me...

“Before ráping me, they gave me alcoholic drink and after the crime had been committed, they gave me ‘covenant water’ threatening me that I would die if I told anybody of the act,” the girl revealed.

As you read this, two young men have been remanded in Agodi Prison by an Ibadan Magistrate Court for using a magical ring to abduct and gang-rapé a 19-year-old student in Ibadan.

The two suspects, according to a police officer, were charged with conspiracy, rapé and stealing of a Blackberry phone belonging to the victim.

A police officer, who confirmed the story, said: “On May 15 at 0815 hours, one Adekola living on Akanbi Street, Molade area of Ibadan reported that his younger sister and a secondary school student went to school and did not return home. All efforts to trace her proved abortive.

“Then about 23:00hours, an unánimous caller called through the victim’s GSM number and identified himself as kidnapper and demanded N6,000. The DCO led other policemen and the victim was rescued.”

"She was unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital. She later narrated how she was kidnapped and gang-rap-éd by three persons. Two arrests have been made while the third suspect is still at large. The two suspects have been charged to court.”

Couple Find A Nakéd Man Having Séx With Their 2-Year-Old Daughter (Photos)

A 24-year-old man has been charged with beating an Alaska man and his wife to death and sèxually assaulting their 2-year-old great-granddaughter. Jerry Andrew Active was arrested Saturday night as he fled the east Anchorage homicide scene dressed only in boxer shorts and socks. He is charged with first and second-degree murder, sèxual assault and burglary in the deaths of Touch Chea, 71, and his wife, Sorn Sreap, 73. Police said Sreap and the toddler were raped.
Police Sgt. Slawomir Markiewicz said Sunday that nothing has indicated the victims were connected to the suspect before they died. “It doesn’t appear that he knew them,” he said. “It looks like a totally random act.” Both Chea and Sreap suffered significant blunt force object injuries. Department spokeswoman Anita Shell said on-scene investigators were affected by the brutality and the ages of the victims.
“They said this was the worst thing they had ever seen in their lives, and these are seasoned detectives,” Shell said. The victims were part of an extended family that lived in a ground-floor, east Anchorage apartment with their granddaughter and her husband, who are the parents of the toddler and her 4-year-old brother. The younger couple’s 90-year-old great-grandmother also lives in the apartment and was at home during the incident.
Police said the younger couple, who are in their 20s, went to a movie Saturday night with their son and left the 2-year-old in the care of Chea and Sreap.
The parents of the child and their son returned shortly before 8 p.m. and found the door locked from the inside. They told police they forced their way in through a window and discovered the bodies of Chea and Sreap. A man in his 20s, they said, was naked in a bedroom with their daughter.
The woman called 911 and police dispatchers heard screaming over the phone. The woman reported a man had broken into her home and killed her grandmother, Sreap. The woman described the man as naked with several tattoos. The woman, who is pregnant, and her husband tried to keep the suspect from leaving and a struggle began, Markiewicz said. The suspect, by then wearing boxer shorts, was able to get away after a few minutes of fighting, Markiewicz said.
Officers found Active about a block away. “He did offer some resistance but he was arrested,” Markiewicz said. The magistrate set bail with a $500,000 appearance bond and a $1 million performance bond with a third party custodian. His next court appearance will be Tuesday, May 28.
“It’s certainly very rare to see this kind of violence — a complete stranger, sèxually assaulting and murdering someone,” he said.
The bodies of Sreap and Chea were taken to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsies. Names of the toddler and her parents were withheld.
